I have loved animals, art and nature as long as I can remember.
Nothing made me happier when I was young than exploring the fields, forests and creeks where I grew up in Agincourt, Ontario, followed by drawing animals and reading books about animals.
Years later, retirement from the field of education gave me time to return to my early enjoyments. I'd always wanted to learn watercolour painting and searched out some excellent painting teachers who inspired and guided me in the foundations of this wonderful medium. I find the vibrant and independent qualities of watercolours exciting and challenging. I try hard to convey the affection I have for the subjects in my paintings and hope that love comes across to the viewers.
