I'm a self-taught artist born in Toronto but raised primarily in a rural area in Lennox and Addington. My family and I have settled in Durham almost 14 years ago now. I've taught paint classes over the years but haven't had much time to create for myself until now. I'm using art as therapy with dealing with personal trauma. I've let go of the notion that art must look a certain way and have allowed my creativity to flow with no guidelines. My whimsical creations allow an escape from reality making you take in every little detail, seeing new things the longer you look at it. My hope is to encourage others to paint with their hearts as well.
