Art by Christina Wood

Inspiration by Emily Wood

Christina Wood has always spoken through paint.  For her, art has never simply been decoration - it has been a language of feeling, memory, and connection.

After the loss of her daughter, Emily, to brain cancer, that language fell quiet.  In the stillness that followed, life shifted, and so did Christina.  But slowly, in gentle and meaningful ways, the brush returned to her hand.

It began with intimate pieces created for those who carried her through unimaginable days - paintings filled with symbolism, each one reflecting the spirit of the person receiving it.  Through those quiet offerings, something new began to emerge.  Not just a return to art, but a transformation of it.

Today, Christina's work feels layered and alive - vibrant worlds where animals, florals, textures, and hidden details intertwine.  Every creature carries meaning.  Every mark is intentional.  These paintings invite you to look closer, to sit longer, to discover what reveals itself over time.

At the heart of this collection is connection - a love for animals that Christina shared deeply with Emily.  The pieces feel guided by that bond, as though love itself continues to move through colour and form.  They are not works born solely from loss, but from love that refuses to end - love that creates, protects, and gently whispers its presence.

Those who know Christina understand the depth of her gift.  And those who bring her art into their homes often describe something hard to explain - a warmth, an imprint, a sense that the piece holds more than paint alone.  This is art that tells a story without forcing it.  Art that holds symbolism without shouting it.  Art that connects.

Each piece is an invitation - to remember, to feel, and to welcome something truly meaningful into your space.
