Daily Artist Meet-ups

Hanover is Waiting for You July 19

After registering at Lasting Memories Locker Room in downtown Hanover you're welcome to begin your festival meeting other artists at Hanover Park and Karl Wilken Park across the road. The pavilion at Hanover Park will be available for your use.

Thursday in West Grey July 20 Noon to 5:00

Travel east on Grey Rd 4 to the historic town of Durham.

There are number of interesting locations to paint along the way so give yourself some time in the morning.

Plan to arrive at Durham Conservation Area for Noon

New Orleans Pizza in Durham is providing pizza lunch (gluten free and vegetarian available too)

The pavilion is rented in the name of the Saugeen Artists Guild for protection from the elements and access to facilities. Parking is included in the rental.

Here you'll have the afternoon to paint McGowan Falls on the Saugeen River or cross the bridge to paint some of the historic homes or visit the Durham Art Gallery for inspiration.

Short on supplies? The Colour Jar is on the main street with all you'll need.

Brockton Welcomes You July 21

Travel west to the town of Walkerton.

For a change of view we've identified two look-out locations you might like to paint Friday morning (no facilities or pavilion but close to town amenities).

In the afternoon you're invited to visit the historic village of Cargill with its quaint buildings, old mill and mill pond. Your hosts are Kevin and Sue McKague who operate the Mill Pond Gallery and newly opened Café. The pavilion in Cargill is also rented for your use.

Enroute back from Cargill is the Saugeen Municipal Airport where we're holding our Artists and Volunteers Social again this year. A broader menu will be available to meet everyone's dietary needs.
